Did I just go to Depeche Mode’s private concert by Hublot?

How fitting are these lyrics in the wake of what is going on in our world today? I get goose bumps each time I listen to the song. We need each-other to make this world a better place, for us, our children and their children, one person at a time, one project at a time. One by one, we can do this together!

For one thing, we can start by supporting charity: water, a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. It is estimated that 663 million people (or 1 in 10 people) in the world lack access to safe drinking water – promoting disease, lack of safety, stagnation and destruction. For most of us living in developed countries, especially Switzerland, clean water is something we take for granted because it’s always been available to us in abundance. I don’t ever remember thinking about not having readily access to clean and drinkable water, humans’ primary source of life.

Our iconic 80’s band and Luxury watchmaker Hublot have been partners since 2010 and together they have endorsed Charity: Water on several occasions. They understand the gravity of the current situation as well as future repercussions if nothing gets done.

And what better and effective way to quick off the band’s new album Spirit and their upcoming Global Tour than by launching their limited edition Big Bang “watch for water” at Basel World, the leading tradeshow for watches? The sale of the watch will raise funds for Charity: Water.
