Gruyeres, small mediaval town in Switzerland

Featured image by My Switzerland!

On Saturday, we decided to discover Gruyères, a 2 hour drive from Zurich. Of course we were expecting to eat amazing cheese and visit the H.R. Giger museum, home to the fantastical art of the Oscar-winner and “Alien” creator. But we definitely didn’t expect to be swept off our feet by the beauty, charm and gastronomy of this tucked away little town.

The people there were so nice and welcoming. We met the owner and the Chef of Pinte des Mossettes in the valley of Javroz Cerniat, in the heart of Gruyères. They are known for working with seasonal and local products and only using wild plants and ingredients from the region. I cannot wait to try it out next time I go back and write about it!
