The 13th edition of the Zurich Film Festival just resumed and the reviews have been nothing but glorious. 160 film shown from around the world and list of celebrities reminiscent of a Hollywood red carpet.
And this year, women made quite a statement by their presence. Federal President Doris Leuthard launched the event and was followed by stars in the likes of Glenn Close, Alicia Vikander, Claire Foy, Emmanuelle Seigner, Valeria Golino, Birgit Minichmayr, Trine Dyrholm, Léa Pool, Ildiko Enyedi and Tonie Marshall.
Men also played a prominent role, both at the Talks and Masters sessions and in the theatres. Present were directors Rob Reiner, Roman Polanski and Marc Forster, screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, actors Jake Gyllenhaal, Andrew Garfield, James Marsden, Bill Pullman, Simon Baker and Moritz Bleibtreu and last but not least, former Vice-President Al Gore.
The entire city was pumping with energy and parties – something going on every night!
Here is a peak into the festival.
