Easy all natural beauty tips

Is it really necessary to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on beauty products? Are the expensive ones more effective than their cheaper competition?

I remember growing up watching my grand-mother eat a clove of garlic every morning, wash it down with lemon juice then apply the pulp of that same lemon to her face! She’s 94 years old and has no wrinkles whatsoever!

Or I remember other family members apply Henna to their hair instead of a dye. Ok the color options may not be as varied but the result seemed so much brighter, shinier and definitely healthier.

So this is in honor of our older relatives who were so much more resourceful and creative than we are while spending a fraction of what we spend today!

Here some very easy and all natural beauty tips. And the furthest you will have to go is your kitchen! I usually like to get my products from local markets or health food stores like MÜLLER Reformhaus Vitalshop, Jelmoli or Coop, only to name a few.

And by the way, these tips work for both ladies and gents 🙂

Banana and Egg hair treatment for added shine

Mix one egg and a mashed up banana. Apply it as a thick paste to your hair and leave it on for 10 – 30 minutes. Shampoo and condition et Voila!

Moisturizing nail treatment

Soak your nails in olive oil for five minutes. Wash them and just enjoy the rest of the day!

Honey face mask for a soft skin

Raw honey is naturally anti-bacterial and perfect trick for a soft and silky skin. Take a tablespoon of raw honey (the real deal) and gently warm it by rubbing your fingertips together. Spread it on your face (keep away from eyes & do not rub your face). Leave on for 5 – 10 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.

Removing black heads on nose

Put 4-5 drops of raw honey on your finger tips. Rub then pull the honey with your finger tips on your nose, on the problem areas until the honey becomes sticky. Rinse with cold water as soon as it becomes too sticky.

Hydrating hair treatment

Use melted organic, raw coconut oil as a deep conditioning hair and scalp treatment. Massage coconut oil into your scalp and then work it through your hair. Leave it on for a couple of hours and then wash it out using only shampoo. Be aware that your hair may stay greasy for a few washes if you use too much of it.
